IPHO,INPHO and APHO QUESTION PAPERS
The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) is the World Championship Physics Competition for High School students and is held
annually in a different country. The first IPhO was held in 1967 in Poland. It has gradually expanded to over 80 countries
from 5 continents. The IPhO International Board ensures that the competition takes place each year and that each host country
observes the regulations and traditions of the IPhO.
APhO stands for the Asian Physics Olympiad. It is currently the premier physics competition for Asian countries. It is modeled
after the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO),and demands a similar level of intellectual capability from the participants.
INPhO is conducted on the last Sunday of January (or on the first Sunday of February),every year,by the Homi Bhabha Centre
for Science Education. School students (usually of standards 11 and 12 albeit special cases prevail) first need to qualify
the National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) held on the last (or second last) Sunday of November of the preceding year.
